WWJD vs. WiJD

**You might never have heard about this issue, the WWJD vs. WiJD, and no wonder, as it’s not commonly known – it’s just an idea, a response of mine to the WWJD slogan.**If you clicked the WWJD link and found your way in here, you probably know what the acronym stand for. (Okay, okay, it’s: “What Would Jesus Do?") It’s been a popular slogan, made to make you think before you act in certain circumstances. And in my opinion the slogan has probably had a good effect. (Even having been commercialized and used to a degree that annoys some people.)

But I do also think that the slogan might give you a weird focus, because if you live as a christian believer, one that believes in Jesus Christ, then you believe that He’s risen from the dead, that He’s alive today and empowering us to live Free, today. So the question should be: What is Jesus Doing?

We’re told in the Bible, that when we receive Christ, we are made alive in Christ. So we should really be looking with our spirit all the time to see what Jesus is doing, just like Jesus was looking to His Father:

Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me? The words I speak to you I do not speak on My own. The Father who lives in Me does His works._

So, I think WiJD is a better slogan, as it focuses on following Jesus, not on some ethical dilemma about what some historical person would do …
